Training
Mieke completed her Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Psychology, and Master of Clinical Psychology at Western Sydney University. She holds national registration as a Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar with AHPRA. She is a registered Medicare and SIRA service provider. She has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and adopts an eclectic approach drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Schema Therapy modalities to respond to client’s unique experiences.
Experience
Mieke has experience working with adults experiencing difficulties managing depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and relational difficulties She further has experience in providing brief intervention for adults with symptoms consistent with Borderline Personality Disorder in line with the Project Air Strategy protocols. Mieke values taking a client-centred approach focussing on the client-therapist relationship underpinning evidence-based intervention.
