Dr Dutta is a specialist in pain management. He currently works at Inner West Pain Centre and Western Sydney Pain Centre.
Dr Dutta worked as a pain consultant in the UK for 9 years before joining us. He completed his training in pain management and anaesthetics in London at King’s College Hospital, Guys and St Thomas’ hospitals, and has worked at major teaching hospitals in the UK. He is a member of the British Pain Society and a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, Faculty of Pain Medicine, UK and fellow of the Faculty of Pain medicine, College of Anaesthetists, Australia and New Zealand.
Dr Dutta can help with a wide range of pain problems, including neck pain, headaches, lower back pain, leg pain, sciatica, musculoskeletal pain, pelvic pain, fibromyalgia, any persistent pain after surgery, Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome.
Dr Dutta practices using a multidisciplinary approach to pain management. His approach can help to improve function and well-being and reduce pain, and may include different medicines, physiotherapy, psychology and pain management programmes. He specialises in x-ray and ultrasound guided joint injections, nerve blocks, spinal injections including radiofrequency denervation/ablation, pulsed radiofrequency treatment to nerves.
He works with a very good team that includes a specialist nurse, psychologists, physiotherapists and other pain specialists to deliver all round care.
